Originally dubbed Ajax Clean Sweep, this promotion began as a way to give young people a productive activity – cleaning up the streets rather than just hanging out on them. Over the last 14 years as the African American community has looked for better opportunities for its young people and as Colgate-Palmolive has become more committed to making a difference while promoting its brands – the promotion grew into Colgate POWER – a partnership between Colgate-Palmolive, Big City Mayors and key retailers to support youth employment and career development.
